State Superior Chapter Award
The State Superior Chapter Award is an award of recognition for active chapters. The criteria for the award is grouped into divisions similar to those used for the Honor Chapter. Chapters who earn the State Superior Chapter Award should plan to work toward the Honor Chapter Award. Applications are due each year to California FCCLA Financial Services Office postmarked by January 20th. The application form is a simple check-off sheet that can easily be submitted by the Chapter Officers with some assistance from the Chapter Advisor.

Upon evaluation of submitted applications, chapters meeting specified levels of criteria are stratified into three award categories: Bronze Award Chapters, Silver Award Chapters, and Gold Award Chapters. Awards are presented at the annual State Leadership Meeting each spring. These awards are sponsored by Excellence in Presentations. Put your chapter in the spotlight by applying for recognition TODAY!

Honor Chapter Award
Chapters that have a quality program of work and actively participate in California FCCLA activities beyond the local level may be eligible for this special recognition. Chapters that have achieved Gold level recognition in the Superior Chapter Award Program should consider working towards the tremendous accomplishment of becoming an Honor Chapter. This is the highest recognition the California FCCLA organization gives to a local chapter.

To be recognized, chapters must submit an extensive application that provides evidence of its activities throughout the year, and must meet the specified criteria. Applications are due postmarked by March 1 to the State California FCCLA Headquarters Office in Sacramento. Awards are presented annually at the State Leadership Meeting and are sponsored by the Home Economics Teachers Association of California (HETAC).

Special Membership Awards for Chapters
Members and Chapters are the foundation of this tremendous organization. Without hardworking chapters, devoted advisors and dedicated members, California FCCLA would never be as successful as it is today. These Special Membership Awards are a way to congratulate and recognize new, growing, and outstanding chapters. They are a constant reminder and inspiration to us all because their passion for California FCCLA is clearly evident by their quantity and quality of membership participation in California FCCLA.

100% Membership Award Chapters
This award is presented, annually, to every chapter in California FCCLA: The California Affiliate of FCCLA where every single student who is enrolled in a home economics careers and technology education course is also an affiliated member in good standing with the state California FCCLA organization.

These chapters truly deserve special attention and recognition. Receiving this honor means that the qualifying chapter demonstrates by its actions that it genuinely believes in, and supports, a fundamental element of a model program in Career Technical Education. That element is the long accepted principle that leadership development programs in Career Technical Education programs (California FCCLA for HECT) should be operated as integral to instruction in the educational courses being taught.

To qualify for this distinct honor, a chapter must have affiliated, by March 1 of the program year, at least as many California FCCLA members as their department's unduplicated enrollment count as certified by the local school principal. Those chapters meeting this criteria are automatically recognized at the annual State Leadership Meeting. NO application form is required.
