100% Membership Award Chapters
This award is presented, annually, to every chapter in California where every single student who is enrolled in a family and consumer sciences course is also an affiliated member in good standing with the state California FCCLA organization.
These chapters truly deserve special attention and recognition. Receiving this honor means that the qualifying chapter demonstrates by its actions that it genuinely believes in, and supports, a fundamental element of a model program in Career Technical Education. That element is the long-accepted principle that leadership development programs in Career Technical Education programs (California FCCLA for FCS) should be operated as integral to instruction in the educational courses being taught.
To qualify for this distinct honor, a chapter must have affiliated, by March 1 of the program year, at least as many California FCCLA members as their department's unduplicated enrollment count as certified by the local school principal. Those chapters meeting these criteria are automatically recognized at the annual State Leadership Conference. NO application form is required.
Fifty-Plus Chapters
Chapters with 50 or more members, as certified on the official chapter roster in the custody of the California FCCLA Financial Services Office, automatically qualify for this recognition during the annual State Leadership Conference. NO application form is required. To receive recognition at the annual State Leadership Conference, official affiliation procedures for 50 or more members must be submitted to the California FCCLA Financial Services Office no later than March 1 of the current program year. Members affiliated by chapters after March 1 will not be included in determining these award winners.
